has been going through a period of inactivity recently due to various
reasons. It is now the aim of the press to concentrate on publishing poetry
and short prose on - line only for the foreseeable future. Submissions are
by invite only until further notice.

| 26/05/09 News of two recent releases: Aggressive Behaviour Anthology 2 - published in partnership by Bottle of Smoke Press (USA) and Compulsive Press (Canada). This is an excellent anthology containing some great poetry by a number of well known small press and Concrete Meat Press published poets including A D Winans, Neeli Cherkovski, Gerald Locklin, David Barker, Henry Denander, Keith Gery, Glenn W Cooper, Justin Barrett, Adrian Manning and anthology editor, Owen Roberts. | 22/09/07 Recently received here a number of great chapbooks of poetry published by Kendra Steiner Editions. Editor and poet Bill Shute is producing some fantastic books out of San Antonio, Texas. Some recent excellent releases include Shute's "Norwich Unveiled", Luis C Berriozabal's "Without Peace" and K M Dersley's "Retrospective Forecasts". It's great to see a number of Concrete Meat Sheet contributors appearing through this press. Future chapbooks include poems by Christopher Cunningham and another from K M Dersley. | 01/06/07 Many thanks to those who answered the call to support A D Winans by purchasing a copy of his broadside. All proceeds from these sales were forwarded to A D. Proceeds from further sales will be sent on also. Just received a copy of K M Dersley's latest book "Paranoid in Paradise" published by Appliance Books. K M is a previous contributor to Concrete Meat Sheet and this is another chapbook of excellent poetry from one of the UK's finest poets. I am also very honoured to be Featured Poet on K M's website Ragged Edge. Click the link for more info about his work. Concrete Meat Sheets 4 - 6 are now done and will be sent out shortly. | 25/02/07 CMP was very saddened to hear that A D Winans' apartment was recently burnt out during a fire. A D lost a lot of work, books, letters and other important documents, a lot of which, no doubt, may be irreplaceable. Of course, the fire also resulted in A D having to move out of his apartment and he is currently facing an uphill struggle to find a place to rent. A D is a fine friend of mine and many others involved in the small presses and, in my view, one of the best poets writing today. As a small token, CMP will be donating any profits from future sales of A D's broadside Life In The City directly to AD. Please support a fine poet in buying a copy.
